The 3 Principles Understanding
How did I miss it?
I first heard of The 3 Principles Understanding while listening to the radio while driving. The 3 Principles Understanding is simple, and it has been around since 1973. How did I miss it?
The 3 Principles Understanding is an understanding of how life works.
How our own mind works. It is very simple to understand. Our thinking creates our interpretation of all our experiences and the emotions and actions that we take because of our thoughts. Our impressions, stress and reactions have nothing to do with what occurred outside of us but only from our inside personal programmed thinking. Don’t look at the past. Don’t seek to change any relationship either another person or yourself when you are in a low mood. Realize that everyone is equal. Have compassion for everyone. Your feelings, beliefs, and thoughts are not you. Let go of judging any other person or yourself, realizing they were just doing what made sense to them in the moment or unconsciously driven to do it by automatic thinking even if the consciously knew it was not good to do. All beliefs, concepts and philosophies, schools of psychology are simply a “stack of thoughts” that were passed on to us.
An enlightenment experience
In 1973, Syd Banks was a welder in a pulp mill in Vancouver B.C. He had what is called “An Enlightenment Experience”. He had 2 of them. He was not a spiritual seeker, nor had he read books about spirituality. He had a 9th grade education in Scotland where he was born. He had a tough childhood as he was adopted around age 3. He had anger that was interfering with his enjoyment of life. He and his wife attending a marriage workshop in his early 40’s. Afterwards he told his wife and mother-in-law that he was taken up to the origin of the universe and saw how human beings create their own lives using their thoughts.
For him the discovery was a Spiritual One. He later named his discovery “The 3 Principles”. He knew it is a complete understanding of how all people have created their experience of life from the time of their birth. A Principle is something that is always true. Gravity is example of a Principle.
